Today we lost a beautiful friend of ours from Alices. Freda Flannigan passed away this afternoon peacefully with Maria at her side. She just celebrated her 92 birthday. Freda will be remembered for her gentle manner, her kindness and thoughtfulness and for her great sense of humor. Rest in peace Freda; we will speak of you often and remember your happy smile always.

Five years ago today we lost the owner and founder of Alice's Beauty Salon, my mother Alice! I get called Alice at least once a week in the salon and it always makes me smile! She is never forgotten and sits on my shoulder watching over me and she is always in my heart! May is definitely the month of my mom in many ways!
